" It is said that over 50% of Freemasons are American.  The majority of the rest are in England (including Scotland), Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Israel, and Australia.  The balance being among the wealthy of such countries as Canada, Poland, Spain, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.  It should be understood that these organizations have their origins in Europe and have association with Islam and Judaism.  The two oldest Masonic Lodges are in England and Ireland.     

        Kofi Annan, United Nations Secretary-General, was born in Ghana in 1938. His mother was from the Fante tribe on the Cape Coast of Ghana and his father was half Fante, half Ashanti; Annan could have become a chief of either tribe. In the last days of the British empire, his father was in business, a manager in a Lever Brothers subsidiary and a leading Freemason."
